Comment: I purchased this phone system about six months ago and have never been completely satisfied. I did NOT purchase this system from Amazon, however, I am here to review the product. Basic phone function is fine: it rings, the Caller ID works, and the range is fine with no static or interference. The down sides seem to add up more for me: There is no way to change the in-coming ringer volume levels - the one setting is EXTREMELY LOUD. There is no way to turn the in-coming ringer OFF on a phone-by-phone basis. They have to all be on or all be off. So if one phone is in the room of someone sleeping, they cannot turn their handset off without completely unplugging the phone in that room. The earpiece volume is horrible. It too is set at LOUD. While there are volume controls, but I have never turned mine up past Volume 1. Even calls from Iraq are set at one, and I have to hold the phone away from my ear for most other calls. This isn't really a plus, as I *usually* have a hard time hearing, so I would hate to use these phones with "normal" ears! If you talk a long time and one handset battery drains dead, you CANNOT just turn on another handset. You MUST hang up, disconnecting the call, and start a new call on a different handset. (As I mentioned before, I received calls from my husband in Iraq and they could get lengthy, but a second connection from him was sometimes hard - and that is unacceptable in my book). One weird bug I need to describe is that when I get a "beep" from call waiting, it screeches, and then wails a warbling beep every single time. However, there is no way to anticipate an incoming call-waiting type call, so it scares me each time. I hope this helps.
