Customer Rating: Summary: Unreliable in the long run Comment: I loved this phone when I first got it but about a year later the problems started to crop up. We have the main base station and an extra handset and charger. The LCD on one of the handsets no longer lights up and as a result the characters are so dark that it's hard to see the caller id or to choose an entry from the phone book's memory. Now the second handset has a broken 0 zero; we can no longer anyone in our local area codes (703, 301 and 202). This past week we had an electrical storm and an extended power outage. Ever since the power was returned both handsets has a lot of white noise when you are making calls but when I use my OLD corded phone on the same phone jack and rj-11 cable, the corded phone is very clear. Now I want to throw both of them directly in the TRASH!
Customer Rating: Summary: Good phone excellent price Comment: Have had this phone for a year or more. Really like all the features in fact don't use all of them. But for the price and I need a good clear phone with awesome reception this is a great phone. I do child care so need a reliable phone with good clear reception. I can go outside and move all around my 1/2 acre yard and have no interruptions.
I recommend this phone in fact going to get one for our daugther and granddaughter.
Customer Rating: Summary: Terrible Sound, inconsistant at best Comment: I invested in this phone set 2 years ago. At first they worked fine, but after signing up for DSL I started having trouble - lots of trouble.
At times when talking on the phone all of a sudden I can't hear the person on the other end. Sometimes I get a high pitched squeal in the phone. Other times I hear steady clicking. I have the DSL filters installed on all outlets and I have had the phone company test the lines. There are so many problems with these phones I can't even name them all.
I have a Uniden 5.8Ghz phone that works perfectly and I've had that phone for 3 to 4 years, if not more. I used to trust AT&T, but I'll never buy another AT&T phone again.
Please, don't waste your money!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent System Comment: It has everything described in the product features. The best feature I love is the call screening feature. After one ring the voice prompt announces the caller's number. If no number is showing, it will say "Unknown Caller." I also assigned personalized rings and could easily identify the caller (placed in my directory).
Customer Rating: Summary: Will buy again Comment: I bought this phone when it first came out and have been quite happy with it. It has taken a lot of abuse and kept on working. I recently had headset die after repeated abuse over several years and it finally died. We tried Panasonic top of the line phones but found sound quality terrible by comparison. GE Dect Phone set of 4 extensions was given to me, but never worked quite as well. I will buy another AT&T (VTech) phone of the same model. It served me well for several years and sounded better than the competition. I really like the speakerphone in handset feature when I am on conference calls. It is easy to switch back to headset, and the mute button is also well placed. There are features that could be better, like ringtones, and phone list sharing between handsets, but my family prefers this phone.

Wireless technologies are more and more popular because they linked the mobile network and Internet together. One of these modern technologies are Wireless LAN (WLAN), Bluetooth,
and Wireless Application Protocol
(WAP) are implemented as an extension to or
as an alternative for wired LAN to make the
communication more flexible and powerful to fulfill today’s need.
WLAN is one of the modern one, effectively Ethernet without wires.
It helps users to access a data network like the
Internet at high speeds of up to 11 megabits per
second (Mbps) as long as users are located
within a relative short range (typically 30–50
meters indoors and 100–500 meters outdoors)
of a WLAN base station (or antenna). This is a good alternative to most laptop users to assess Internet and getting popular most part of the developed world.
