Summary: Better than advertised
Comment: I bought this when I was flying from the states to Japan several times a year. If used carefully, I could get 2+ full recharges out of it. Still works great after two years.

Summary: Also Works With Tungsten C
Comment: Everyone seems to overlook the fact that these ALSO work with Palm Tungsten C's.
I have a Tungsten C and 2 of these units. I keep one Power To Go in my charger cradle at all times and carry the other with me everywhere I go. I swap them with each other and that way I always have the capacity to fully charge my Tungsten C at any time. The only reasons I don't leave it attached at all times is that the Tungsten C won't fit in my case with the unit attached and the user manual says not to.
I rely heavily on my Tungsten C for reference applications and journals at work as well as pleasure (game playing and LOTS of reading) and video, so it would spend a LOT of time on the charger cradle if not for these clever little buggers. I can get 1 full charge and another half to 3/4 charge out of one fully charged Power To Go unit with my Tungsten C. You can Hot Sync even while the Power To Go is attached (and even fully charge both Palm AND POwer To Go at the same time in the cradle).
My sister who doesn't use her Zire 31 nearly as much is frustrated that Power To Go won't work with her handheld and she has to either carry her charger cord with her or recharge her unit almost daily.
This unit is SO worth it if you rely on a fully charged handheld on a daily basis. I was just looking for these on the Palm site and they are no longer listed there, so I wonder if they will continue to manufacture them.
You'd be wise to get at least one while you can...and remember: THEY WORK WITH TUNGSTEN C, TOO!!

Summary: Worth its weight in gold!
Comment: As a heavy Palm user, I've found PalmOne's Power To Go quite handy. When its attached, it 1) charges my Palm and 2) is still usable on any Palm keyboard. It can 3) also be charged in a cradle and 4) be synced while its linked. (Hey, that rhymes!) Its use is thus totally transparent.

The only thing that it won't do while attached is fit in my T3's hard case, which isn't a very big deal.

I use my Power To Go mainly at work. When I'm checking email or voice mail at my desk, I'll normally keep the Power To Go unit attached to my Palm - so that my T3 is always at its maximum charge in case I get pulled away to a long meeting (where I'll take notes using a keyboard with my PDA). When I'm gone, I'll leave the Power To Go unit in my cradle - to juice it back up!

But if I'm going to a meeting which I know will put unusually high demands on my Palm - then I'll take the Power To Go unit with me - so I never need to worry that my T3 will ever run out of gas.

The Power To Go sled attaches by grabbing on to slots on the back of every Palm (which I never knew were there), so the connection is very positive and one that will not let go accidentally.

The Power To Go unit also has a light which, when lit, tells you that its charging your Palm. So, if it should ever go out - then you'll know that you're running on your Palm's battery alone - and that its time to recharge the sled.

If you're a heavy Palm user like me, PalmOne's Power To Go will allow your Palm to always stay in the game! (I've never felt more helpless than to be in a meeting - with a dead Palm!) I highly recommend it!

Editorial Reviews:

Recharge your Palm handheld while working, even when you're on the move. This lightweight, compact power management solution recharges your handheld when you can't stop working or when you can't be near an electric outlet. Power To Go clips onto the back of your handheld without the need to power down or reset; you can hot swap additional Power To Go battery packs for days or weeks of uninterrupted work.

Wireless technologies are more and more popular because they linked the mobile network and Internet together. One of these modern technologies are Wireless LAN (WLAN), Bluetooth, and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) are implemented as an extension to or as an alternative for wired LAN to make the communication more flexible and powerful to fulfill today’s need.

WLAN is one of the modern one, effectively Ethernet without wires. It helps users to access a data network like the Internet at high speeds of up to 11 megabits per second (Mbps) as long as users are located within a relative short range (typically 30–50 meters indoors and 100–500 meters outdoors) of a WLAN base station (or antenna). This is a good alternative to most laptop users to assess Internet and getting popular most part of the developed world.
