Customer Rating: Summary: Does not even deserve the one star! Comment: We use this product where I work. We have 7 Cordless phones and 1 base. All of the phones have a lot of static in them now. We have trouble with customers being able to hear us and visa versa. Also on all of the cordless phones the 1's are no longer working! The 2 on three of the phones is starting to go. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!
Customer Rating: Summary: The problems are real but can be overcome Comment: I have this system for our home, where my husband and I each run our own small businesses and also have the home phone -- we needed a system that could handle so many phone lines without having to have 3 separate phones at each location in our 3 story home. We have had the problems with the number 1 key like others have, but there is a company, Barclay Enterprises, [...], that will fix the handset with a lifetime warranty, so no need to completely replace. I found out the static on the handsets could be eliminated by giving the base unit sharp (but gentle) raps on the desktop until I got it to go away. So far, so good. I agree with others that we should not have to put up with this s__t, but for the money, this is still a great system that works well for our needs for much less money than a true professional multi-line system.
Customer Rating: Summary: 4 Line Panasonic vs. RCA Comment: We needed a new 4 line cordless phone for the offices and bought the RCA, as recommended. We should not have done it. The call quality is miserable - echo- and clients complaint. You cannot program needed features, which line has which voicemail text, all line have the same ring tone, the autoattendend has no choices, cannot name the handsets. The black shiny ear pieces takes all of your faces even after one call, looks always dirty.. So we scrapped it and bought the Panasonic. It can do all of the above and more. After now one week of use we have no complaints and it does what we want. The programming is a little to complicated and you just do your trial and error, but it works. That is our 5th generation of cordless phones and clearly the best.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Auto attendant feature for the money Comment: I have used my KX-TG4500B since 2002 and love it, with one exception.
It has a great auto attendant feature that can be set for multiple lines and voice mail extensions. The range of the handset is good. The base set has a back up battery good for around 20 minutes.
The only problem we have had is that the keypad on the handset goes bad after about 2 years (mostly the 1 key), however there is a keypad refurbish kit out there on Ebay installed for about $40 with a lifetime warranty.
If you have a need for a good auto attendant feature and multiple lines, this phone is good choice for the money.
Customer Rating: Summary: What moron designed this system Comment: We replaced an older Panasonic 4 line system with this one because the no longer provided the older handsets. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. This new phone has so many annoying features I am junking it after only 6 months. It does not provide enough power to a headsey for my customers to hear me and I cannot turn it up enough. While talking on the phone, if any of the other 3 lines ring both my voice and the person speaking to me cuts out momentarily and whatever is being said has to be repeated. On busy days this happens between 50 and 100 times. Talk about annoying. About three times a week if you are talking to someone and the phone rings on another line, for no apparent reason the phone flips over to "HOLD" and your conversation goes dead. It takes a bit before you realize what happened and you then have to scramble to get back on and ask the customer to start over because you missed what he was saying. If another handset places a call on hold instead of being able to just pick it up by pressing the line button you have to press another button just to get to the line buttons and then press and hold down the line button until the phone connects. PEOPLE, this should be a great small business phone but it just turns out to be junk. I spent over $2,000.00 for this with multiple handsets. I am shopping for a new one now and will pay whatever I must to get one that actually works well. When I called Panasonic technical support they were of no help what so ever. GOODBYE TO PANASONIC. IF you market things like this my 20 years of buying your products are over.

Wireless technologies are more and more popular because they linked the mobile network and Internet together. One of these modern technologies are Wireless LAN (WLAN), Bluetooth,
and Wireless Application Protocol
(WAP) are implemented as an extension to or
as an alternative for wired LAN to make the
communication more flexible and powerful to fulfill today’s need.
WLAN is one of the modern one, effectively Ethernet without wires.
It helps users to access a data network like the
Internet at high speeds of up to 11 megabits per
second (Mbps) as long as users are located
within a relative short range (typically 30–50
meters indoors and 100–500 meters outdoors)
of a WLAN base station (or antenna). This is a good alternative to most laptop users to assess Internet and getting popular most part of the developed world.
